Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2015 Features: Business Process Flows

By - October 12, 2016

The Business Process Flows were created for Microsoft Dynamics 2013.  As with most new features, the 2013 version of Business Process Flows were functional, but lacked features.  Specifically, there was no logic built into the Business Process Flows.  Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2015 introduced nested logic for the business process flows.  In addition, the Process Flows allow for JavaScript development and manipulation.  This is a huge improvement.

At current release, there has been no combination of the Business Process Flows and Business Rules.  I am sure that there will be a merge of these features in the next version or two, but this currently a noticeable limitation.

That said, I have been utilizing the Process Flows in many of my current projects.  This feature is, in my opinion, the biggest game changer in the CRM systems.  This feature alone moves Microsoft Dynamics CRM from a system for data entry, as much of the competitive products, to a guide to a process.
