Field Service USA Palm Springs 2025: A decade in review

By - April 28, 2025

As a decade-long attendee of Field Service USA, it has been remarkable to witness both the evolution of the event and the broader field service industry. What began as a niche gathering has matured into a cornerstone event, reflecting how field service has become integral to business success across industries.

Each year delivers new insights, emerging technologies, and invaluable opportunities to connect with peers and thought leaders. This year, one major shift stood out: Artificial Intelligence (AI) moved from concept to action. No longer just a topic of discussion, AI was showcased through real-world deployments, illustrating how organizations are leveraging it to drive efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer experience, while emphasizing the continued importance of human connections.

What was also obvious was a holistic service-centric process was needed by customers, with Customer Service; Projects and all tied together with Field Service Management and ERP. RSM showcased their “ServiceCentric Accelerator: which gives projectbased, service organizations a unified, 360° view of operations from opportunity tracking through work orders and invoicing. It ties together sales quotes, resource planning and billing in a single service lifecycle.

Technicians and front-line teams remain at the heart of field service success. Many sessions and conversations reinforced that while AI optimizes processes, people continue to deliver the true value through relationships, service quality, and trust.

Networking, as always, remained a cornerstone of Field Service USA. Engaging discussions with teams across industries revealed a shared commitment to innovation, practical problem-solving, and cross-industry collaboration.

Looking ahead, I am excited to see how the event continues to evolve when it moves to San Diego in 2026.

Field Service USA Palm Springs 2025 confirmed one thing clearly: the future of field service lies in the seamless integration of human expertise and AI-driven innovation. The insights gained, relationships built, and technologies showcased this year will undoubtedly shape the industry for years to come.
