How well are companies navigating workforce balance?

HCM solution provider Dayforce surveyed 8,700+ global workers to find out

It is up to employers to discern whether the following survey statistic is alarming or promising: Dayforce’s 14th Annual Pulse of Talent found that 91% of workers reported that there are actions their employer can take to increase their productivity. According to this survey of 8,751 workers from around the globe, 81% reported experiencing symptoms of burnout.

In addition, many employees feel that their employer’s priorities are out of balance, which might account for why 69% of respondents self-reported as flight risks.

Interpreting employee experience statistics

Are these shocking statistics? In the wake of mass hybrid working shifts, conflicting priorities, and rapid change, it’s not a huge surprise to learn that workers are feeling out of balance and disconnected. While some findings from the Pulse of Talent might seem bleak, it is great news that there is significant opportunity to move the needle on worker productivity and loyalty. The question is, what steps can your specific business take to increase loyalty, motivation and productivity? The Pulse of Talent report shares several key insights to consider, including the role empathy can play in restoring trust within wary employee populations.

How human capital management technology can help

Modern human capital management (HCM) technology platforms, such as Dayforce, have features that were specifically built to help support a connected employee experience. But how much of a priority are employers placing on implementing and effectively utilizing those capabilities? While this figure was not measured, 85% of Pulse of Talent employee responders approved of their employer upgrading technology. This statistic might in part reflect the younger population’s comfort with and reliance on technology.

Top reasons for exploring AI use included getting quick answers to questions, saving time on low-value tasks and general curiosity. 80% of those surveyed reported interest in their employer using AI to recommend internal development opportunities.
