As a Microsoft partner, RSM and Microsoft work closely together to showcase how Microsoft technologies can positively impact the growth and strategy of retail companies globally. At this year’s NRF 2020 Big Show event in New York City, Microsoft CEO, Satya Nadella was the opening keynote to kickoff the week. Speaking about the concept of enabling intelligent retail his focus was on tech intensity and how retailers needed to be purposeful in how they’re leveraging and adopting cloud solutions to drive their growth forward.
As part of Microsoft’s presence at NRF, RSM was invited to participate in their booth to highlight Ste. Michelle Wine Estates (SMWE). As one of the top 4 winemakers in the US and having been around since 1934, SMWE has created a lasting legacy that many have come to know. With brands such as Chateau Ste Michelle, Columbia Crest, Stag’s Leap, 14 Hands, Erath, Col Solare, Conn Creek, Patz Hall and others, Ste. Michelle Wine Estates was able to implement Microsoft Dynamics 365 Retail and Dynamics 365 Commerce in 19 weeks.
Col Solare was the first brand to go live in October of 2019 and the other 13 followed with additional brands going live every 2 weeks after. The overall project to get all brands live happened in 33 weeks. Ste. Michelle Wine Estates was the first worldwide to go-live on Microsoft’s new commerce solution and to have completed the project on time and on budget with no issues is a testament to Microsoft, Ste. Michelle and partner RSM working together to get things done right.
Ste. Michelle took advantage of the entire Microsoft technology stack implementing: Dynamics 365 Retail, Dynamics 365 Commerce, Dynamics 365 Finance, Microsoft Azure Cloud and Microsoft Office 365.
Following Satya Nadella’s keynote, he took a moment to meet with Ste. Michelle’s Joe Gregg, CIO and Francis Perrin, CMO.
