Billing itself as a true user conference, Sage Transform invites stakeholders from across the Sage ecosystem to gather once a year to connect, collaborate, and celebrate. The 2022 conference took place October 10-14 in Orlando and was attended by thousands of Sage aficionados, including customers, partners, evangelists, and experts. For anyone currently using Sage Intacct as their financial management platform, the conference offered exciting details about the present and future of the software. And for anyone considering switching to Sage Intacct, the conference revealed what makes this particular piece of accounting software and the community behind it so special. Anyone interested in Sage Intacct will also be interested in what happened at the Sage Transform conference. We’ve rundown the highlights below:
A New Partnership With Microsoft
One of the biggest benefits of using Sage Intacct is that it integrates by API with many common business tools, helping users create a seamless link between their financial unit and the other pillars of their organization. At this year’s Sage Transform, company leaders discussed a new partnership with Microsoft that will bring popular products like 365 and Teams directly into the Sage Intacct platform. The two companies will also partner to improve reliability and productivity. With this partnership (and others), Sage Intacct proves its commitment to becoming a functional and flexible tool for companies to not just improve accounting but advance digital transformation too.
The Sponsorship Deal With MLB Replay
A new sponsorship deal with Major League Baseball (MLB) will see the Sage name and logo featured prominently during pitching decisions and manager interviews on select televised and streaming games. This will significantly raise the profile of Sage. The company will also be recognized for supporting MLB’s Diverse Business Partners (DBP) Program, which focuses funding toward minority-owned businesses. The most fun part of the sponsorship: Sage members and partners will be eligible for MLB tickets and experiences.
Previewing the New Import Process
Sage has plans to roll out a new data import process in one of the four free upgrades the developers issue every year. We got a preview of that feature during the keynote address at Sage Transform, and it’s fair to say it left quite an impression. The developers have been promising an easier, more intuitive process than the current one. And while it was a very early preview, it appears the developers are on exactly the right track. Expect the software to make big strides forward after the next slate of updates.
AP Bill Automation is Available Now
In the final update of 2022, Sage Intacct made AP bill automation tools available to select customers. After that successful trial, it will offer this feature to all customers. Not only does this feature effectively automate the most time and labor-intensive aspects of bill entry, saving users huge amounts of time and error, but Sage will also offer this game-changing tool for free in the first update of 2023. No wonder it was a major topic of conversation throughout this year’s conference.
RSM Client Hitting the Jackpot
One of our clients experienced a highlight she won’t soon forget. Arlene Campbell from Paralyzed Veterans of America stopped by the vendor booth of Workforce Go and entered her name to win a prize. Later that day, she was announced as the winner of the $3,000 grand prize. Everyone who attends Sage Transform gets something valuable from the experience – our client was lucky enough to come home with a pocket full of cash as well. Congrats!
The Future is Bright for Sage Intacct
This year’s Sage Transform conference was one of the biggest ever, both in terms of attendance and announcements. All signs suggest that Sage will continue to mature as a product, company, and community – and all involved should be extremely excited. We certainly are.
