Highlights from the Sage Transform Conference

By - April 26, 2024

The annual Sage Transform conference brings together users across the Sage ecosystem to commune, collaborate, and celebrate. It’s always an exciting and insightful event, and this year was no exception, with major presenters and announcements included as part of the official program, plus the countless conversations among Sage enthusiasts, experts, and insiders that happened throughout.

The 2024 conference took place at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas from February 26-29. As always, the RSM team was in attendance, and this year we sent a particularly large contingent because of growing interest—both inside our organization and among our clients—about what the Sage ecosystem has to offer.

RSM sent 35 people to the conference including technical consultants and account managers. Many in this group haven’t seen each other since before the pandemic or have only met through Zoom calls in some cases, so the conference was as much about team-building as software.

It did not disappoint on either front. Our Sage brain trust came away more cohesive and coordinated than ever, with many exciting ideas, initiatives, and innovations to explore further. The conference also featured some big news for everyone in the Sage community, including new tools, big upgrades, and inspiring insights.

In case you missed the conference, here are some highlights:

Unveiling Sage Copilot

By far the biggest moment of the conference was the debut of Sage Copilot. This AI-powered productivity assistant will complete whatever task you assign it using natural language and simple prompts. So, for example, if you tell Sage Copilot “review the pay run,” it will instantly analyze the information for errors and anomalies, then reply back “Missing timesheet information from Employee ABC.” It can even send a notification to that employee to submit the missing info.

That’s just the start. From automating repetitive workflows to retrieving specific information to generating actionable business insights, Sage Copilot is as powerful as it is flexible, giving users a tool to do almost everything better. Not only does this tool make AI accessible, it makes Sage products and the people who use them more accomplished than ever before. Our team, along with everyone in attendance, left buzzing about what Sage Copilot brings to the table. It’s a game-changer.

Increasing Automation & Integration

Both on stage and on the conference floor, the topic of bank feeds was being discussed at this year’s Sage Transform. As one of the most critical components of any financial management platform, how Sage Intacct synchronizes with banks has been something developers have consistently worked on, and some of the biggest improvements are coming soon. A growing list of integrations with Marketplace partners now gives users multiple options to automate payments and bank reconciliations in ways that save time and prevent errors. Anyone who isn’t doing this already should think again.

Major League Speakers

Sage is the official “Insights” partner to Major League Baseball, helping clubs do more with data, and the baseball theme carried into the conference speakers. Jessica Mendoza, a two-time Olympic medalist and current ESPN MLB analyst, spoke about how data upgrades performance under pressure, whether in sports or in business. MLB legend Cal Ripken Jr. also took part in a panel discussion about balancing insights with instinct. Both speakers were as entertaining as they were astute when talking about how their experiences in sports translate into the business world. And both hammered home a similar theme: data makes you smarter about how to succeed.
