Sage Intacct – More Automation & Integration Than Ever
Sage Intacct and RSM have a common goal: saving time for financial professionals while eliminating accounting errors and inefficiencies. That’s why the 2024 Sage Intacct R1 update was so exciting.
Among the long list of additions, extensions, and improvements in that update were several new features that streamline how information flows through Sage Intacct. Work that used to take people hours of careful clicking and typing, repeated on a regular cycle, has now been automated in some cases and eliminated in others. Either way, users can accomplish more than ever while raising the bar for accuracy and quality.
While the 2024 R1 release is now live, the features we highlight below are either being released soon or as part of the Early Adopter program. See how Sage Intacct continues to advance, and plan to take advantage of its newest innovations:
Professional Services Automation
Increasing competition in the professional services market raises the stakes for any incorrect decision. Sage Intacct will now offer a module, powered by artificial intelligence from Forecast, that helps professional services firms produce intelligence and analytics from their data.
The AI will study successful projects from the past to identify trends and patterns, especially those that fly under the radar. Based on that analysis, the AI can help answer critical questions that arise as part of every client engagement:
- Which team members have the right skills?
- Who has the necessary availability?
- Where are bottlenecks a possibility?
- Is anyone over- or under-allocated?
- Are all projects on track to meet deadlines?
Sage Intacct answers these questions quickly and effortlessly, freeing up time to apply elsewhere. AI-driven insights also help decision makers arrive at more informed, and often more accurate, conclusions more consistently.
Forms and Operational Workflows
Sage Intacct has always included strong support for nonprofits in particular, and the developers are continuing that commitment with more options to tailor digital workflows. All nonprofits operate differently. Each one can create workflows in Sage Intacct that perfectly reflect their unique requirements.
Nonprofits can also now easily build custom forms to collect information–financial or otherwise–useful for tracking, reporting, or compliance. The form builder gives users extensive tools to design how forms look and function, as well as how they store and distribute the data, which helps with outreach to internal and external stakeholders and quickly scales the quantity and quality of data nonprofits have at their disposal.
Sage Intacct has also built pre-built workflows, forms, and portals to support common nonprofit tasks like grantmaking, vendor contracting, donor donor-advised funds. Putting routine and repetitive duties on autopilot lets finance teams focus on more sensitive or strategic matters. It also helps teams overcome any hurdles posed by having a smaller staff or fewer resources, as is often the case at nonprofits.
Data Flows
The movement of data increasingly distinguishes what companies can and can’t do. Recognizing that fact, Sage Intacct has been creating new integrations and more robust linkages between itself and other business platforms, including a new data flow that runs to HubSpot, the popular tool for customer relationship management (CRM).
Having data move efficiently and automatically between Sage Intacct and HubSpot creates a strong synergy between accounting and sales. They can seamlessly share data without having to manually send it back and forth or type redundant entries between systems. They can rely on a shared source of truth to keep stakeholders in different departments coordinated and aligned. They can also eliminate friction to turn sales into revenue faster.
Sage Intacct plans to keep creating data flows so that more data flows into accounting with less effort. Users can also design their own data flows between Sage Intacct and any other data silo.
