With upgrades rolling out, you don’t want to wait on upgrading your Business Central environment to version 24. If you are a US-based customer, Copilot chat is available in English for you to use in public preview inside your Business Central environment. Copilot is included with your Business Central license and is just the beginning of interacting with your data. You can launch Copilot Chat from anywhere in Business Central by clicking the Copilot icon, next to the Search. Having the ability to chat with Copilot is really like asking your coworker a question, without even having to leave the page you are currently working on. As you can see in the screenshot below, while working on setting up the General Ledger, I was able to ask Copilot if we have any chairs in stock.
What is great about Copilot being in Business Central is the results are interactive tiles, so you can go directly to the Item to see more characteristics of the chair, or decide you need to enter an order for a Customer. Maybe you don’t quite understand what a field is used for. For any base fields, you can click “Ask Copilot” within the ToolTip to gain more insights. Copilot is searching the Microsoft Learn documentation to provide links that will give you further clarification.
