Microsoft Dynamics GP – Error on Payroll Tax Filing Status

When running the Payroll Calculate Checks process in Dynamics GP, you receive an error:

“The tax filing status record for tax code XX for status cannot be read.  Paychecks cannot be calculated.”

Try running the script below in SQL Server Management Studio to find the problem employee:

Your results should look something like the example below:

Next open the Employee State Tax Maintenance window in GP (Cards > Payroll > State Tax):

Try running the Calculate Checks again, and it should process this time.
